Philippe Rapahel Chout was born in 1964 in France.
Dr Philippe Chout 's qualifications are as follows:
He is a MD, AIHP, ACCAHP. He graduated from the ‘Paris VI University’, Paris, France in 1996, with a DES Doctorate in Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery. 
He his a former resident of Paris University Hospitals (AIHP) and a former senior Registrar in Maxillo facial and plastic surgery department in West Paris University Hospital, at Ambroise Paré Hospital attached to West Paris University ( ACCAHP).
Dr P. Chout is registered with the French Medical Council as a Specialist in Cosmetic Surgery, number 64900-75 since 1996.

Dr Philippe Chout is also on the plastic surgery specialist register with the General Medical Council in London in 2001, number 4783516.

Dr Chout’s career began in Paris as a plastic surgeon at the Belvedere Clinique in France.
In 1998 he embarked in private practice and in 2001 decided to go further afield to the United Kingdom.  

Since 2001 Dr Philippe Chout operates and does his plastic surgery consultations.

A very broad medical speciality...

Plastic surgery is a broad medical speciality that encompasses both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Cosmetic surgery (or aesthetic surgery) is typically performed to reshape normal structures of the body in order to improve the patient’s appearance and self-esteem. The purpose is either Beautyfication or rejuvenation or both. Cosmetic surgery is usually not covered by health insurance because it is elective.
Reconstructive surgery is performed on abnormal structures of the body, caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, infection, trauma, tumours or disease.
It is essentially performed to improve the functions and surface, but may also be done to approximate symmetry of a normal appearance. Reconstructive surgery is generally covered by most health insurance policies, although level of coverage may vary greatly.

Craniofacial surgery is divided into paediatric and adult craniofacial surgery. Hand surgery is concerned with acute injuries and chronic diseases of the hand and wrist, correction of congenital malformations of the upper extremities, and peripheral nerve problems (such as brachial plexus injuries or carpal tunnel syndrome). Hand surgery is an important part of training in plastic surgery, as well as microsurgery, which is necessary to replant an amputated extremity.
